The SAD DADDY ALBUM…

Brian Martin finally made an album, well, some of it.   Joe Sundell and Melissa Carper had an equal share in that endeavor. Those three sure make one hell of a band.  Now you’re looking at the album art. The ‘sad daddy fish’ was drawn by Hot Springs tattoo artist, Trey Steelman. I toned down the colors and layered it on a more aged paper. We were trying to get more of a Sailor Jerry look for this. I would like to have done a better job with it, but last minute deadlines are a bitch. Perhaps if some people would get things to me earlier when they’re supposed to :)

Live SAD DADDY…

This was the first time I got to use the Canon 5D. It was too much of a tease to be able to use this equipment. I need to start a help-Tim-get-new-equipment fund raiser or something.

On a side note, five of my live music photos will be on display at Maxine’s Music Venue. Most are up on their website (I also designed and coded their site here. They will have an ongoing gallery display of their past live music shots that made the grade. The one of Brian Martin in this set will be up on display, as well as shots I took of Mobley, Heat Machine, White Glove Test, and Elliott Brood.

The MARQUEE…

Apparently, they’re going to put this up on a billboard in town in addition to being shown on the Flying Hog ad screens.

The DELICIOUS FOOD…

So, I hear that food photographers can make a lot of ‘dough’. Hit me up people. I need new camera equipment.

Anyway.  These are some scrumptious yum yums from the fancy folks over at JavaPrimo.  I’m working on their website at the moment.  Now if everyone else will leave me alone so I can get it done :)

Sad DADDY PHOTO SHOOT…

I’m overall happy with the last minute photo shoot that was thrown together for Sad Daddy. It was the perfect southern setting with train cars, an outhouse, and dirty southern summer heat. Sadly, we didn’t have enough cold beer. On our way up to the hill, I almost jumped right onto a snake in the grass. As we were going to attempt to jump a ditch, I looked right were I was going to land. A nice, big snake was curled up relaxing. I caught myself just in time. I would have hated to have bothered him. Anyway, after going through all 500 shots, I realized the little things I wish I would have done with ideas and camera settings. It was a learning lesson for the next time I do a band photo session. I love this stuff. Now if I can just make good money doing it.

Live MUSIC…

I achieved some pretty nice shots over the weekend. This is probably my favorite live music set so far. This was a band called Mobley.
